The Student Senate work is based on proposals.
They are written pieces that must show what you want to change and why (sometimes, how, but not usually), that then will be discussed by the Student Senate, if consistent, and consequently voted on.
ANYONE can write a proposal if want to see something changed in the school and bring it to the Student Senate, even if you are not a Senator¹.
To write a proposal, use the template that was sent to you in your CEG email, that is available to download on the facebook group, or email the Secretary in order to receive it again. You must fill all the blanks in order for it to be presented to the Senate.
Presenting Your Proposal in the Student Senate:
- To present your proposal, you may do the following:
1. After writing it, its extremely recommendable to send it to Mr. Sullivan in order to have it checked.
2. Send it to the Secretary before the week's deadline (otherwise it will not be presented in the next meeting).
3. The proposal will be sent to the whole school via email.
4. Be present at the next meeting in order to defend it.
Anonymous Proposals:
We also DO understand that public speaking can be hard for many, and that you may not want to show your name in your proposal, so you can always submit your proposal through the Secretary (Also, if you cannot go to the Student Senate for other personal reasons):
1. You may send your proposal attached to the Secretary via email, after checking it with Mr. Sullivan, explaining in the email that you will not be able to defend it, and, if you want the Secretary to defend it anonymously, or with your name. The Secretary may let the proposal be defended by other person if he/she does not agree with it.
It is also important to remember that all the proposals will be archived.

Your Secretary,
Lucas Roos.
¹ Remember though that if you are not a Senator, even though you made the proposal and can defend it, you will not be able to vote for it
